Aviator Softball Dominates in Doubleheader Against ASU-Mountain Home Trailblazers

The Arkansas State University - Newport (ASU-Newport) Aviators took flight in a thrilling doubleheader at George Kell Park, sweeping the ASU-Mountain Home Trailblazers in both games to assert their dominance on the softball diamond.

In the first game of the doubleheader, which kicked off at 2 PM, the Aviators and Trailblazers engaged in a hard-fought battle. From the opening pitch, it was evident that the Aviators meant business. They quickly established a lead, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding three more in the second, showcasing their offensive prowess.

While the Trailblazers mounted a comeback with two runs in the top of the sixth inning, the Aviators stood their ground. With solid pitching and impressive fielding, ASU-Newport secured a 9-6 victory, much to the delight of the home crowd.

The excitement continued into the second game of the doubleheader, which commenced at 4 PM. The Trailblazers aimed to bounce back, but the Aviators had other plans. Both teams displayed exceptional skills, but it was ASU-Newport's resilience that shone through.

The Trailblazers managed to put two runs on the board, but the Aviators responded with a determined offensive display. In the fourth inning, ASU-Newport plated two runs, and in the seventh inning, they added one more. The game concluded with a 3-2 victory for the Aviators.
