Bio

Coach Kevin Pearce hails from Newport, AR. He excelled as a three-sport athlete in high school and played baseball at Williams Baptist College. After graduating with a Bachelors in Sport Management from Arkansas State University in 2002, he dedicated 12 years to ASU-Newport as a Career Coach, Student Recruiter, and Community Engagement Coordinator. With 11 years of softball coaching experience, Kevin achieved remarkable success at Newport Jr. High and Newport High School, reaching Regionals for the first time in 10 years. He founded the Newport Junior High softball program in 2016 and a travel organization in 2020. Kevin's volunteer work earned him the Hometown Hero Award in 2019, and he served as the radio play-by-play announcer for Newport High School for 13 years, receiving the Sully Award in 2022. He is happily married to Shannon and has three daughters: Kathryn, Charley, and Annabeth.
